SPF AUDIO VISUAL SUMMER SEMINAR at Blackridge EH48 3SP, on 11th July 2010

As most of you know I am the current SPF AV Sec.
The reason for contacting you, is that I have the opportunity to run an AV Summer Seminar Day on Sunday 11th July, when I can secure the top Sound guru himself HOWARD GREGORY who lectures and demonstrates on anything to do with Audio Visual Sound Track production, and his partner SUZANNE WALKER ARPS-AV who is a passionate AV worker, will talk on production of an AV using
Picture To Exe. She enters competitions at club, national, and international level.
So between them they will present a very interesting day. This will be a workshop-type presentation.
When I was speaking with them last October they told me they were coming to the north of England to do a lecture, and intimated they would be willing to come over the border, seeing they were this far north. They come from Cheshire.
But! before I say yes to them, and make the necessary arrangements for them to visit us, I need a commitment from all you AV enthusiasts out there. We can’t afford to book premises and accommodation for them and only get a dozen or so people turn up on the day. The AV Day last October ran at considerable loss due to lack of support. So I need you now to email me to say, you will support the day, and follow that up by sending on a deposit of £5 to me.
I calculate the admission cost for the day, if we get a good response, will be in the region of £10 with the usual tea/coffee & biscuits supplied. You can of course send £10 in the first instance which shows your full commitment. Airdrie hall is closing for refurbishment, new venue TBA.**
All monies will be returned, if the response is poor and the day does not go ahead.
So if you would like to hear Howard & Suzanne then I have to hear from YOU.
I need your reply by Saturday 17th April. The answer is simple, use it or lose it. If we don’t get enough bums on seats, the day won’t happen for us here in Scotland. Included is the showing of attendee’s sequences, with comments from H&S.
Time only allows approx. ten to be shown.
