The Saturday event finished with FIAP presenting ESFIAP Distinction Badges to Fiona Spence EPS President, Muriel Binnie EPS, and George Taylor SPF President.

On Sunday morning of 31st May, a special FIAP Presentation Event was hosted by the Scottish Photographic Federation at the Edinburgh PS Clubrooms, to give the FIAP Board the chance to meet Scottish photographers during their visit.

The FIAP Directory Board present included FIAP President Riccardo Busi, FIAP Secretary General Ioannis Lykouris, Treasurer Herbert Gmeiner, Vice President and Director of FIAP Exhibition Centres Joan Burgues Martisella, Director of the Patronage Service Romain Nero, and Director of the FIAP Photo Academy Online Events, Paul Stanley.

President Riccardo Busi started with an overview of FIAP and the countries that are now members, as well as details of their growing number of FIAP Exhibition Centres. Topics being presented by FIAP included the new Portfolios that had been introduced. Their newly introduced FIAP Photo Days, an opportunity for organisers and photographers within the FIAP community, were also highlighted together with the FIAP Biennials and FIAP World Cup for Clubs. Quite a length of time was allowed for Q&A on all topics as this proved particularly popular. Notable recurring subjects from the audience were the withdrawal of the Print requirement from Distinctions, and what FIAP could do to encourage new print entrants to salons, and additional detail on the content requirement for the new Portfolio Distinctions. From both the audience and FIAP’s perspective it had been a very worthwhile morning.

“It was a valuable opportunity to share FIAP’s activities and future projects. Our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to a stimulating, enjoyable and inspiring morning.” Riccardo Busi, FIAP President

The morning event finished with FIAP presenting an ESFIAP Distinction Badge to Libby Smith SPF FIAP Liaison Officer.
