SPF Print Championship Closing Date Extended to 30th April

The Scottish Photographic Federation 'Interim' Print Championship is open for entries and due to current Covid restrictions with a NEW Extended Closing Date of 30th April 2021.

Your Club members are invited to submit an entry to this year’s SPF Print Championship. We will announce the results at an open Zoom Presentation event when we announce the results of both the Club and Individual Awards. If the Judges are available to attend, they will be invited to speak about the Individual Award Winners.

All prints for this competition must be submitted by Clubs by post / carrier, or dropped-off direct to Carluke, by the closing date. Sorry but we are unable to set up any other ‘drop-off' points, given the current situation.

Drop-off at Carluke will be by ‘non-contact’ delivery left in porch between 10am and 6pm, following email request notification. Re Courier/Postal Deliveries - We cannot guarantee to collect nondelivered prints from all carriers, so please ensure we know when your prints are being delivered, before dispatching.

Unmounted Prints only accepted, Maximum size A3. Digital copies are not required at time of entry. We will request ‘Digital Copies’ of all Prints scoring 13 to 15 points, together with those of the winning Clubs, after the initial scoring, for the Selection of the Awards.

To be eligible for the overall Club Awards you must submit a minimum of 15 prints, 5 of which must be Mono. Best Colour Club requires 8 colour prints & Best Mono Club requires 8 mono prints.

A printed copy of the online entry form, that will be available after you have submitted your entry, must be included with your prints A printed copy of the online entry form, together with your cheque payment for your entry fee and return postage must be sent separately to – Joe Prior, 24, Langcroft Road, Glasgow G51 4JB to arrive by 7th May 2021.

Prints will be held for return and will be returned when possible. Clubs must enclose return postage or be prepared to arrange a suitable time to collect from Carluke (porch), otherwise we will ‘hold’ your prints until we can return to normal meetings and events.

For 2021, we require online entry of titles through our website. Only one person must collate and submit all entries from a club. Club access to the Online Area is by following the link provided by email to the Club Competition Secretary or Secretary which was sent out by the website as soon as the event was opened for entries. Contact Libby if you do not receive this.

One person must collate and submit all entries from a club. Maximum 3 Mono Prints and 3 Colour Prints per author and a Maximum 50 prints per Club. 35p per print (50% reduction). As prints are unmounted it is reasonably cheap to post and all you need is an empty A3 Paper box.
